Red Water Lilies
I must have painted hundreds of water lilies, all colors and all sizes. Some are very bold and dark, some bright and young, some huge, some small, many in ponds crowded with pads and blooms. When I was in Beijing, I could not believe the huge crowds of lilies in the water surrounding the Summer Palace! I can see why Monet loved to paint his pond at Giverny.
