Los Brazos in the Fall
This house portrait celebrates the vacation home that my son, an architect, designed for us in Madison County, Virginia. We named the house that we built on the side of the mountain Los Brazos (which in Spanish means “the arms”) because overall the real estate plot resembles two outstretched arms reaching out into the woodlands. This little en plein air painting is one of my many house portraits produced on commission.
