Asparagus Plate
My mother taught me the craft of painting porcelain dishes and firing them. I inherited her kiln and now have it in my country studio. This plate is an example of the sort of fine painting that can be done in the genre. Hand-painted serving dishes are wonderful gifts, and I have decorated and given away many as Christmas and birthday presents. I did a series of designs with Inca motifs one season: they were striking, combining Andean colors with real gold.
