Andean Sunset
Most people who paint the Andes put little houses and llamas and so forth in their compositions, but I wanted to present the mountains in their lit-up, full glory without the touristy features that identify them as Peruvian or Bolivian landscapes. The colors one sees are not exaggerated in this painting, but they must always be captured quickly because sunsets do not last but a few seconds at these altitudes.
